Home Latest Work Resolve

written by Louisa January 2, 2017

This isn’t going to be a very long post. 2016 was many different things for many different people. The thing I’ve realized most is not the lessons I’ve learned but some of the hard cold realities I’ve had to face about myself, relationships, and how I view the world. Leaning on old understanding didn’t work anymore. Resorting to old methods put in positions that I vowed not to be in again but somehow found myself back in the same spot. As you may know, I’m a Christ follower, and I’ve been praying a lot about what 2017 will look like for me. The word that keeps coming up is “unprecedented.” Looking to the new, things that haven’t been done before. I’m putting faith in Jesus that that will happen and I will see amazing things come to fruition (more on that later).

As I’m working on leaning into that, in the meantime, I wanted to share my last “quasi-photoshoot” of 2016. Kylie and I decided to do a low-key New Years and it ended up being one of my favorites yet. A lover of long, good chats over delicious food at cozy restaurants is one of my favorite things and we could think of no better way to end theyear. We started with drinks at Jams then headed directly across the street to Quality Meats — I highly recommend it. Of course, we didn’t go without taking quite a few photos before, after, and in-between.
